Safety Officer
Job description
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team and help us maintain a safe and secure working environment.
Responsibilities
- 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲, 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞.

- 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.
- 𝐄𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐞𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥, 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐮𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝.
- 𝐓𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬.
Requirements
- Safety Related Diploma or Certified Safety Officer.
- At least 5 years capacity as a Safety Officer (or equivalent) in the Oil Terminal or Factory Safety.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, regulations and standards, such as OSHA and process safety related.
- Ability to read and interpret documents & the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
